November, 2014

Dear Parents and Guardians:

The first marking period will close on November 12th and report cards will be on the parent portal on November 17th. There are a lot of exciting things in store for Brackman students in the upcoming weeks.  Winter sports tryouts begin on November 10th.  Students will be preparing for the drama production this winter as well as our upcoming band, chorus, vocal and jazz productions.

After school assistance is offered in all major subjects for all students.  In addition, the 8th grade assessment prep classes will be offered to all 8th grade students.  Sign-up forms will be available in the main office next week.  Please encourage your child to take advantage of these worthwhile programs.

There will be early dismissal for Parent Teacher Conferences from November 17th through November 20th (regular dismissal resumes on November 21st).  If you cannot make the afternoon conferences on November 17th and 19th, evening conferences will be held on November 18th and 20th at 6:30 PM.  A letter about the conferences will be coming home shortly.

School will be closed on November 4th for Staff Professional Development and on November 6th and 7th for the NJEA convention.  The 26th of November will be a half day; students will be dismissed at 11:40 AM.  School will be closed on November 27th and November 28th for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
