Call for opening day student performers

Call for Opening Day Student Performers
LighthouseAugust 6, 2018

Dear Barnegat Schools Families,

It is that time of year where my office is looking for students to participate in our district opening for staff. We are all here with one vision and goal…to provide the best possible experience for your son or daughter. Nothing is more inspiring than watching the students perform and assist in the school year’s kick off!

If you have a son or daughter who is interested in performing (singing) and is available on September 4th to perform, please contact Ms. Patty Clark-Brescia at (848) 221-7797. Rehearsals will be on August 9, 16, 23, and 30 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., soloists will be asked to stay until 8:00 p.m. at the Russell O. Brackman Middle School. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from ROBMS.

This year I also invite a student or students to create the keynote message for our teachers as well. Any students interested in auditioning to be the keynote speaker should contact the Superintendent's Office by emailing Mrs. Bach, Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent at Auditions will most likely be held the week of August 20-24 in the Superintendent's Office. Students should prepare a keynote address around five minutes in length around the theme, "Barnegat Inspires.” The speech can honor a staff member, or experience, that/who inspires you. Students can be any age but must attend Barnegat Schools (or be a recent graduate).

I look forward to an exciting opening to the 2018-2019 school year!

Brian Latwis, Ed.D.
